This automation:

  1. Monitors the fashion news (RSS feed)
  2. Evaluates them based on relevance for our startup mixNmatch (OpenAI module)
  3. Creates a news summary with Perplexity (Perplexity module)
  4. Adds a new google slide with the inputs from Perplexity (Google slides)
  5. Saves each slide as an image and posts them on LinkedIn or Instagram
  6. Saves last 10 slides as a pdf to your Google Drive </aside>

Important to consider:

  1. You must connect your respective accounts (Google slides, Google drive, LinkedIn etc.)
  2. You must input your OpenAI and Perplexity API in order to use these modules
  3. If you are planning to use this automation for newsletter carousel creation, you might want to adjust RSS feeds to the ones matching your business. I’m using Feedspot.
  4. There are filters set: 1. to estimate the news’ relevance and to 2. only download the pdf after 10 slides are generated. You might want to adjust those.
  5. There is a module (Data store), which counts the number of generations and resets after 10 (when the pdf is downloaded). If you are planning to use it, you must create a “data store” separately in Make and then link it in the module. </aside>

How to create a design in google slides with variable inputs:

  1. Go to Canva and create your branded design in required dimensions.
  2. Download png and insert, them into Google slides
  3. Make sure to add the variable inputs {{}} in places where you’d like to add your AI-generated outputs.
  4. The end result must look like this:

P.S. you can always add the title page or as many pages as you wish with or without those variable inputs - just make sure to set up your Make modules accordingly.
